Jon Litchfield joined the American Baseball Coaches Association in the summer of 2014 as the Communications & Business Coordinator. Litchfield oversees the ABCA's marketing and multimedia efforts as well as the association's business operations.
Prior to the ABCA, Litchfield was Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information (2009-13) and Associate Athletic Director for Communications (2013-14) at High Point University in High Point, N.C. He oversaw all communications and media relations activities for the school, including redesigning the athletic department website, launching an athletics experience website, and starting HPU's athletics social media efforts. Litchfield oversaw all video and broadcasting efforts and was the founding advisor for the HPU Sports Link, the school's sports broadcasting club.
While at High Point, Litchfield served as Chair of the Big South Conference Sports Information Directors and President of the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.
Litchfield previously worked in the Sports Information Office at Northeastern University from 2002-09, being named Sports Information Director in 2008. He also worked as the Media Director for the New England Intercollegiate Athletic Association and as an Editorial Assistant at the Boston Globe.
Litchfield is a 2004 graduate of Northeastern University, where he was a member of the cross country and track & field teams. He currently resides in Jamestown, N.C.
