Job Description:
Assistant Baseball Coach (full-time $47,000.00) Academy of Art University, An NCAA II institution that competes in the PacWest Conference, is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Baseball Coach. The position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program with special emphasis upon administration, scouting and recruiting. The successful applicant will possess the appropriate blend of experience, attitude and knowledge to promote and develop an emerging baseball program at the only Art school in the NCAA. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Supervision of athletes during practice, travel to and from competition and during competition * Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and commitment to follow NCAA and Pacific West Conference rules and regulations. * Operate Academy and/or rental vehicles in the course of completing the above referenced job duties and observe all applicable federal and state motor vehicle laws. * Perform other duties as assigned, not limited to, but including fund raising, alumni relations, summer placement, community service, academic oversight and equipment maintenance. *On field responsibilities will require physical demands of moving equipment, throwing batting practice, hitting fungos and demonstrating skill related techniques. 
Special Requirements: 
Bachelor's Degree desired, Master's Degree preferred. Applicants with previous collegiate coaching experience of 3-5 years will be given additional consideration. Active experience in the instruction, development and management of a pitching staff is also desirable, however, "best fit" is paramount for the successful applicant.
